Ready to Start Scanning?
Step 1 – Follow the instructions detailed on the insert from your box to install your micro SD card, the AAA batteries, and turn on your scanner.
Step 2 – Find a hard, flat surface to place your document or photo on for scanning.
Step 3 – Position your scanner on top of your document or photo. Start on the left side or top of the document.
Step 4 – Press the SCAN button once, and move the scanner slowly along the document at a smooth, steady pace from one side to the other.
Step 5 – Press the SCAN button again to complete the scanning process.
Step 6 – When you have finished scanning, press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds to turn off the scanner and preserve battery power.
Ready to Access Your Scans?
Step 1 – Plug the USB cable into the port on the side of the scanner.
Step 2 – Connect the other end of the cable to an unused USB port on your computer.
Step 3 – If scanner is not powered on, press the Power button for 2 seconds to turn on the scanner.
Step 4 – Open AmbirScan on your computer.
Step 5 – Navigate to the Wand tab in AmbirScan to access your scans.
Step 6 – To save an image, click on the image to select it and hit Save. You can select multiple images by dragging a box or holding shift while selecting images.
Note: If saving in PDF, Searchable PDF, Word or Excel format, images will merge into a single file. If saving in JPEG or TIFF format, images will save individually.
