Ambir and the Chicago Wolves team up against cancer

We like hockey. We like our hometown, Chicago. We’re also pretty big on trying to do some good. So when one of our hometown teams, the Chicago Wolves, came to us with an opportunity to sponsor their Score for Charity program this year, we jumped at the chance.

Of course, the important part is the charity. All season (and hopefully, post-season), we’ll donate $100 to the Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation for every goal Wolves forward Tim Miller puts in the back of the net.

Bear Necessities is a great organization, also based right here in Chicago, that provides direct assistance to families dealing with cancer (Bear Hugs), provides grants to researchers working toward a cure (Bear Discoveries), and provides grants to pediatric oncology facilities across the nation (Bear Empowerment). Basically, they’re doing very, very good work, and we’re very lucky to have them.

So if you’re in the Chicago area this season, catch a Wolves game sometime. Come cheer on Tim Miller and the team. It’s fun for everyone, from the most hardcore hockey fan to the whole family. And it’s for a good cause.

The Score for Charity program allows sponsors to align themselves with their favorite players and make performance-based donations to their designated charity. Ambir Technology will donate $100 for every goal Miller scores during regular season and playoff games. Last season, Miller scored 21 goals with 19 assists in 75 games.
